Wade LeBlanc, a losing pitcher in Triple-A this year, was a winning pitcher against the Dodgers on Friday night, cruising through six scoreless innings in a 2-0 Padres win.

LeBlanc, 4-9 for Portland this year, held the Dodgers to only two hits with three walks and a hit batter for his second Major League victory and first since last September.

LeBlanc bested Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw, who struggled through a 27-pitch first inning that started with a walk to leadoff hitter Everth Cabrera, who eventually scored on Kevin Kouzmanoff's two-out single for a 1-0 San Diego lead.

The Dodgers committed two errors on San Diego's next scoring play, a one-out single by Nick Hundley. Kershaw tried a kick save, and Rafael Furcal barehanded the carom, but threw wide of first base, and the ball bounced against the screen in front of the Padres' dugout. First baseman James Loney retrieved the ball, bounced it past catcher Brad Ausmus and into the seats for a two-base error.

Despite allowing only one earned run in six innings, Kershaw (8-8) remained winless since July 18, a stretch of nine starts. The Dodgers have scored eight runs for him in those starts.
