I wonder what they are asking in return for Garza if the Cubs are serious about trading for him.

Fox sports is reporting that they want a top prospect.

Matt Garza would be nice, but would we be actually giving him a new contract as well? Talk about spending the $.

I would say no because our starting pitching has been pretty solid. I'd like to see some focus on bringing in strong arms for the bullpen. The bullpen has been pretty solid lately, especially since we removed Brandon League from the closer role. Still I'd feel better if we get at least another reliable pitcher in there.

Lilly is going to the Bullpen. Capuano was suppose to go to the pen but Fife got injured. IF the dodgers do trade for him it'll probably be a rental since he wants a contract like Anibal Sanchez (five years $80 million).

He says that it's 50/50 that he'll get traded. He wants to stay and the Cubs want him.

I fully agree that the Dodgers need at least 1 more bullpen pitcher.

Last night I was scared seeing Bellisario come into the game as a closer but he seemed very fired up.

Seems a bit much too much to give a top prospect for a 2 month rental. I feel pretty confident with our top 3 rotation of Kersh, Greinke, and Ryu. It's when we get into the 7th inning on, is where I get nervous. I'm hoping some teams who are out of the race in their division will have some relievers who they will put on the block.

Sucks to see Fife go down, but should only miss 1 start I think, with the ASG coming up.

What a crazy game. Also have to give credit to Withrow for pitching 3 scoreless in extras. AJ with two big hits last night. What else can we say about Hanley. He has been on fire.

Withrow unsung hero of the game. I'll be honest I was scared when he came into the game. AJ has been on a tear I think he has a 9 game hitting streak right now. Hanley the 2nd spark of the team glad he is back.

Lol, I think I started getting scared when League was our only relief pitcher left in the pen. Nice that we pounded out something like 40 hits or so in that series too.

Hoping for a win tonight against the Rockies so the Dodgers can be a game behind.

And it's good to see them at .500.

Yeah, hoping Capuano can got 6 at least, since the bullpen will be pretty exhausted from last night's game.

If Matt Garza doesn't go to the Texas, rival executives see St. Louis, Boston, D-backs and Dodgers as likeliest places for him to land.
